Ingredients

  • 400g diced steak
  • 400g sliced mushrooms
  • 100ml single cream
  • 500ml Freja Classic Beef Bone Broth
  • 150-225g rice (75g per person)

Method

  1. Fry off the steak in neutral oil at a high heat for approx 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously to get colour on every side.
  2. Remove the steak from the pan then add in the sliced mushrooms and season well with salt and pepper, adding in more oil if needed.
  3. Allow the mushrooms to cook for 5-6 minutes at a high heat, stirring occasionally until they begin to brown.
  4. Cook the rice to packet instructions.
  5. Pour in the Freja classic beef bone broth and leave to boil on a high heat with the until it has reduced by ⅔. 
  6. Once the stock has reduced, place the steak back into the pan along with the single cream.
  7. Stir well to combine then serve over the cooked rice.
